After building its name as London’s favourite songwriters round, The Round Up is going on its first UK tour. John Nicholas, The Goudies and Bob Fitzgerald will be joining hosts Two Ways Home on stage to tell stories behind the songs in the intimate and unique setting of Acapela Studio.
TWO WAYS HOME
“Folk-rock with a country twist” Anglo – Austrian duo Two Ways Home are the songwriters: Isabella ‘Isi’ MaK (Vienna) and Lewis Fowler (Gloucestershire). The pair fuse catchy melodies with luscious harmonies and rocky guitars. After their inception in 2014 and several releases, they have crafted a versatile sound, which pairs well with artists like Lady A, The Lumineers and Fleetwood Mac. The Upcoming describes the pair as “unique, unexpected and brilliant.”
John Nicholas
John Nicholas, is an experienced singer-songwriter with a story to tell. Since picking up his Father’s old guitar at the age of 12, he hasn’t stopped turning out tunes, with the notes app on his phone constantly bursting with ideas. John’s surroundings and personal experiences have fuelled his lyrics, which are always intertwined with cleverly crafted melodies.
Regional & National airplay, UK & EU tours are just some of the highlights, however it’s on the stage where he feels most comfortable, singing with his heart on his sleeve, injecting passion into every word. Whether it’s playing an intimate showcase, or to thousands at All Points East Festival (2019) performing is what makes him come alive.
With a new post-covid era, comes a new beginning, 2023 is opening doors to both brand new music & a new touring band making way for exciting live shows.
“Really love his voice, so infectious!” Abbie McCarthy, BBC Radio 1
“Brilliant live performer, definitley keeping an eye on him in the future!” Neil Mitchell, Orange UK
“An incredible talent, one to watch!” BBC Radio 2
The Goudies
THE GOUDIES (GOW-dees) are South Wales based, husband and wife folk-country duo — Sam & Beth Goudie. Their close harmonies and honest sound have drawn comparison with the ‘California Sound’ of 60s/70s Laurel Canyon and Americana artists such as The Civil Wars and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings.
As singers and songwriters they explore the relationship of love, faith, and the spaces in between — always ending in hope.
Bob Fitzgerald
Bob Fitzgerald is a modern Country Music singer-songwriter based in South Wales, UK.
Bob’s own blend of classic country fused with a rock & pop edge guarantees big hooks, big riffs and even bigger choruses. From good-time drinking songs to songs of love, loss, and tales of daring to chase the dream, Bob’s heartfelt, real world stories celebrate all aspects of the human condition.
Take the classic writing and rich vocal harmony of the Eagles, add in Brad Paisley and Keith Urban-style guitar work, mix in a taste of Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson and George Strait, freshen it all up with a sprinkle of Midland and Old Dominium and finally, just a cheeky pinch of classic KISS and Bon Jovi… Now you’re getting the feel for the music of Bob Fitzgerald.
Book a table for pre-concert dining
Acapela Studio provides pre-concert dining between 6.00pm and 7.30pm from our pizza oven. To view the current menu visit here.
Please purchase your concert tickets first before booking a table. We will not accept any table bookings that do not have a corresponding ticket purchase.
Then return to the event page to book your table, by selecting the date of your event, number of diners and time you require table. The times shown are the only vacancies left. Please complete your email and phone number as this is required to ensure your table is allocated. You will receive confirmation of your booking by email and text.
If on the date you have chosen no tables are available - no times will be shown and the booking system will revert you back to todays date - PLEASE ENSURE YOU BOOK THE CORRECT DATE!
PLEASE NOTE THE VENUE RELIES ON THE INCOME FROM DINING TO ENSURE WE CAN BOOK ALL THE GREAT ACTS PERFORMING.
Income from the provision of pizzas is very important to the venue and if you have booked a table it is a requirement that all people sat at tables order food - a salad alternative is available to pizzas. Please do ensure that all individuals will be ordering on your table - if this is not the case please cancel your table so others who are looking to dine can do so. Our apologies to raise this but recently we have had many tables (some very large) where less than 50% of those sat at tables have ordered food. Financially this is a real problem to the sustainability of the venue.
- All seating at tables must purchase a pizza - so please do not book a table if everyone is not eating.
- Please ensure that you arrive 10 minutes before the time slot allocated to order your pizzas prior to your booking time.
- Tables not seated within 15 minutes of the allocated time may be lost and allocated to other audience members wishing to order pizzas.
- If you wish to book a table for 6 or more please email info@acapela.co.uk
Please note that all of our pizzas are made fresh to order and cooked in an authentic wood-fired oven. It may take up to 45 minutes to be served during busy periods.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO BOOK A TABLE YOU CAN STILL ORDER PIZZAS ON THE NIGHT (USUALLY ON BUSY NIGHTS NO LATER THAN 7.15PM) AND WE WILL SERVE THEM TO YOU WHEREVER YOU ARE SAT IN THE VENUE - IN A PIZZA BOX.
