An award-winning Welsh choir feature in this year’s M&S Christmas advert.

Côr Ysgol Llwyncelyn from Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Llwyncelyn in Porth provide the music for the advert and which was recorded at Acapela Studios.

The children star in the advert alongside Amanda Holden, Emma Willis and Paddy McGuinness. The choir from Porth in the Rhondda sing the Fleetwood Mac song Albatross that has been used throughout M&S’s recent adverts.

The school choir achieved fame in 2018 when they won Songs of Praise Choir of the Year. For the advert, the choir received singing coaching from Justin and Dan Hawkins from rock band The Darkness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwTJnHef9jw
