Classic PROG rock within an intimate setting, what’s not to love about that?
If you are a lover of great music, then you will definitely want to see Magenta. Their stage presence and amiable interaction with the audience feels as if everyone present is an old friend. The whole experience is relaxed and enjoyable, the band especially focusing on their audience relationship.
Magenta as ever focus on songs of anger, love and sadness. Tonight this includes solo tracks from the band and Magenta favourites such as ‘Pearl’ , ‘Speechless’ and ‘Lizard King’. As in past years special guests are lined up to make this a very special night and this year Nick Barrett from Prog group Pendragon and Magenta maestro, Rob Reed’s daughter – Roise – joins the band on stage! The encore included two great versions of Solsbury Hill and Comfortably Numb… what more could you want?!
Magenta effortlessly communicate songs, telling stories and making the audience feel part of the event . This sets the band apart from others – it shows they care.
I went into this concert not knowing what to expect, I left feeling as if I was a part of the band. They combine anthemic songs with acoustic slower songs emphasising why the band has for decades proved to be one the best loved PROG bands around and certainly Wales’ finest.
I would highly recommend Magenta to anyone looking for a concert with some classic rock, mixed with many surprises which take you on a journey through some of Prog’s finest music.

If you love David Bowie you should see this,
If you like David Bowie you should see this,
If you have never heard of David Bowie you should see this!
Now this may be a tribute act, and you may not like tribute acts, but honestly you would be amazed by the performance given by this class group of musicians. David Live centres on all the best music of David Bowie including his iconic songs ‘Changes’, ‘Fashion’ ‘Starman’, ‘Heroes’, Life on Mars’ and so many more. Charles’ (AKA David Bowie) performance is so dynamic that the audience were dancing by the beginning of the second song. Charles controls the stage with such a fluid and accurate persona of Bowie that the performance just feels as though you are watching and listening to the original Bowie.
The way he moves, talks and creates relationships with the audience is so accurate to the real Bowie. It’s these little details that make this act standout among Bowie acts indeed above all tribute acts. The band who are traditionally silent and stand in the back become a part of the act throughout the performance with some amazing guitar playing and keyboard and drumming. As a unit they communicate the very essence of David Bowie.
This tribute act known as the ‘The UK’s Most Sought After ‘Tribute’ To David Bowie’, truly represents David Bowie’s live performance on stage. We, the audience, feel as though we are in the presence of Bowie himself. An act that David Bowie himself would pay to see!
